A Teenager Gone Way Too Soon

With so much life to live, hers was cut too short

All week, I’ve been trying to read and write but the words don’t really come out. My heart has been heavy thinking about a friend and fellow dancer of my daughters.

This past weekend, as I wrote about, she had a severe allergic reaction that ceased her breathing for too long.

After being on life support for 4 days and her brain showing no sign of activity, she was taken off of the ventilator two days ago.

She passed away that night.

15 years old. The sweetest girl at school. A bright light to everyone that knew her. Her face lit up the stage when she danced.

She was an amazing student, and such a smart girl, but the real qualities of this person have come to light all week.

She loved like no other. She was kind. She showed empathy and compassion towards others. She loved with her whole heart.

Even though she is gone, I look up to people like this. People that truly care for…
