I see now the cruel grip of dementia. And I think of my father-in-law in a softer tone, with a kinder heart and better understanding.

Ahhh, should have waited to comment until the end. Sigh! I worked with seniors with Dementia and Alzheimers for years and I have years worth of sad stories. It's such an awful disease.
