As if you couldn't feel any worse, right? How sad that he doesn't even realize the damage he did. It makes me wonder about people that are this way. My mother that I no longer talk to is like this and doesn't really care about anyone elses well-being. The distance is definitely good for you since things weren't really resolved but I am glad you eventually got yourself out of there!
