Aww, this got me all choked up.

For the first time, I felt like a mother. I felt like his mother. It was only for a second. One tiny second. Then it was gone. Moments like these came and went, with weeks and months in between. I never knew when or if I’d feel them again. Yet, in those fleeting times, it felt real. Motherhood.
