Does a University Degree Hold As Much Weight As It Used To?

Does it matter that I didn’t finish college?

It may come as a huge shocker that this girl didn’t graduate college because she was too busy partying, but it’s the truth.

I only have my AA, which is worthless to anyone besides myself. You might not think so, but I never got a better job or more pay because of it.

My high school years were fun but I stayed on task up until my senior year. I graduated with good grades and was accepted into a 4-year university.

The problem was that I liked to party more than I liked to study.

My grades were good my first year but quickly plummeted during year 2 as my partying progressed.

I began skipping classes because I was up too late and once you begin skipping, you fall behind which makes it so hard to make up.

There are two reasons that I was pondering this subject today.

  1. My daughter is forgoing college, at least for now, to join a dance conservatory in the fall.
  2. My husband just got a stellar new job. He also doesn’t have a degree and is self-taught which is more common than you think in the…
