Erin, you are such a beautiful writer. I am so sorry you went through what you did and struggled to find someone that could help. Thank goodness for Dave and Bert. I am glad there are therapists that give a damn!! It's really how the media portrays certain mental illness. I am bipolar and the shame behind it pisses me off. This is not something we chose to do to ourselves.

The ending of this made me tear up. You wouldn't be such a gifted writer if you didn't go through all of what you did. And, you are flipping the narrative to give your son a better life. <3
