Let me first say, I am so thankful that Medium brought together a group of writers, and thanks to Scot Butwell, we formed a little virtual book club.

It’s not too late for you to get on the book club train! I am just 3 chapters in and you’ll get hooked from the beginning of this Sunday Times bestseller.

If you don’t join, I hope you’ll follow along for the ride.

In The Salt Path, a couple, Moth and Raynor Winn, are forced out of their home due to a legal battle gone wrong. And, as if that wasn’t enough to handle, Moth (the husband) is diagnosed with a rare degenerative brain disease.

The book is written by Raynor (the wife), and when she says this at the beginning of the book, it makes me feel deeply for her because I’ve had similar feelings.

“Or had the walk been coming for years, waiting on our horizon to be unleashed on us only when there was absolutely nothing to lose?” -Raynor Winn , The Salt Path

When you know you need change, you think you can change, you want to change but just haven’t yet, sometimes you need something to force that change.
