I always relate to your writing. This was such a good essay. People that give backhanded compliments are the worst. It's hard for me to be around such people without tensing up! I do feel bad about something I said recently now though, although I didn't speak about weight, I did say to someone that lost some weight, "You look so good!" Yikes. Messaged noted because you are right because I am sure she picked up what I was insinuating.

Anyway, the whole mother issue! Some people just shouldn't be mothers so they don't deserve any sort of recognition... plain and simple. Must be nice for those people with great mothers but sad that they can't feel empathy or try to put themselves in someone elses shoes.
