I always wondered why I could handle alcohol better than my husband who is almost 100 pounds heavier than me. This is so interesting. Maybe it was just hitting him faster and I was drinking more to keep up, but then eventually it would hit me...and hard! I did like vodka, too. I'm sure that for many women a vodka soda is appealing because of the low calorie, if any calorie content in addition to how it makes them feel.
