I am so glad there was a happy ending to this story. Beautifully-written about a tough topic!!

…hiatric ward would lead to a downward spiral of drinking, which in turn brought me to a crossroads. Impending motherhood made me view my body in a different light, taking ownership of and learning respect for my physical self. With this surprise development, my directionless future began to take shape.
