I am so glad you have your sister to talk about these things with. Not that I am glad this happened to you at all, but it is comforting that you both have the same memories and that you did remember it correctly. I think that would make me go a little nuts inside if my awful memories didn't match up with my siblings. I don't like that people laughed at this though!! And your mom tried to brush it under the rug. Ugh.
