I Broke Up With Medium For a Week

Now it’s time to rekindle the flame

For over a year, there wasn’t a day that I didn’t check Medium, engage, or write. It became second nature and I loved every minute of it.

As my spring break vacation got closer, I was also feeling a little burnt out. We embarked on a cruise a week ago, and being that I’m not an experienced cruiser, I had no idea what the WiFi would be like.

My husband purchased the basic package to check work emails but I didn’t want to spend the extra money. I decided that if I could tether to his device, I would check Medium, and if not, I would take a break.

A much-needed break.

Sure I could have used his computer but I am a creature of habit and need my own laptop with everything saved.

It turns out the WiFi connection was never good and constantly kicked him off, so he was also forced to take a break. He asked for the time off but felt compelled to be available anyway.

The break was good for both of us.

I was forced to break it off with Medium for a week. Although I missed everyone here, it was a great thing for me.
