I found this very comforting despite all of the ugliness that you had to go through with your dad. You tried hard, what else can you do? Some people just don't change and that is sad for him. Seriously, he is the one missing out and now going through a hard time without support. The comfort here comes from what you learned and gained despite the trauma. So much love for you from afar!
