I grew up and went to school in a very diverse area where whites weren't the prominent race. I am very grateful for that because I don't see anyone any differently and view people as human beings. But, sadly, not everyone feels that way - and even in Boston where it's diverse. It's embarrassing that people even act like that. We should have evolved and in some ways we have, but so many people are still stuck in that old thinking!!
