I don’t regret quitting. However, I do wonder why it took me multiple years to escape alcohol’s clutches after it was clear that I had a problem. It would have been better to have taken steps sooner.

I have thought this so many times, too but ultimately I think that I needed all of it to really solidify not going back to it. The last memories are awful ones that I never want to repeat!
