I live in a populated area and have seen all the degrees of homelessness. I admire you for getting involved and honestly gives me a swift kick in the rear to help out. I look at the homeless and think that very well could have been me. And, I don't think I am a piece of shit like many view the homeless as. If we were more compassionate as a society and gave a little extra when we have it, and many do have it and waste it like you said, we would be so much better off. Beautiful writing, Michelle.
