I did my research on this before I went to the UK to visit England and Scotland. I've watched so many shows now that I can usually decipher where the person is from in the UK, too. A London accent sounds a lot different from a northern England accent. Scottish and Irish accents are different, too. I know you know all of that but most American's don't. Hell they will even ask someone that is from South Africa where they are from in the UK.
