I never want to answer my phone for such calls but like you, sometimes I feel the need from whatever circumstance may be going on. If I do, and they start to sound weird, I just hang up, LOL!

How sad for your friend!! A few weeks ago someone bought a couch with my credit card. It is always such a hassle but thankfully I got my money back.
