I think people use that term loosely but coming from someone that doesn't have kids... they have no idea. Having a puppy is hard and definitely takes a lot of work but it's nothing like having a baby!! I've had both. 267,000 raising a kid. That made me cringe although I might have spent that on dance in the last 15 years! I don't even want to add it up ;)
