I think sharing your experiences in regards to what you believe in is great. But, trying to shove Bible verses at someone, is not great!! I would have been annoyed with that lady. Just like I don't appreciate when people show up at my door trying to persuade me about anything, be it religious or political.

I am sure you spread your faith in a good, non-pushy way. :)
