I Will Remember “tWitch” for the Incredibly Kind Man That He Was
A dancing legend gone too soon
As dancers and a mom of dancers, we have come to admire many people in this space, which includes celebrities and talented individuals.
I have been a fan of So You Think You Can Dance since it began in 2005 and my daughters slowly caught on as they got older.
Our favorite performer went by the name of Twitch. You might know him from Ellen. We’ve been following him ever since he was on SYTYCD.
He traveled around teaching classes at conventions on different circuits and my girls had the pleasure of meeting him and taking his classes.
After he would share a heartfelt message with all of the dancers, you could feel the positive energy in the room as he would teach a combo. He spoke of love, acceptance, non-judgment, and equality for all.
His eyes were always bright and with a huge smile on his face, you never would think that he was struggling. He was always so happy, kind, and generous.
Over the years, I have watched the videos that he and his wife would share. From funny dances during the lockdown to adding their cute kids into the mix, all you could do is smile when you saw them all light up.
