Is He a Reformed Escape Artist or Is It Just Age?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve run after this little guy

We adopted Bubba from a local animal shelter in May 2009. He was a 5th birthday present for my daughter.

For some reason, I always called my daughters “Bubba” and so when we saw Bubba on the animal shelters website, I knew it was meant to be.

We called to make sure he was available and headed down to see him. I already had it in my mind that we had to get this dog.

When we arrived, he wasn’t interested in us. He just wanted to get out. I took that as him wanting to come home with us.

My husband, who is a big animal lover too, wasn’t sure.

“He doesn’t like me. He’s not coming over to me.”

As I said, he just wanted out.

Somehow we all convinced my husband to say yes, and we were on our way home with sweet Bubba. We were all so excited to finally have a dog.

Plus, he was as cute as can be. A model dog, if you ask me!
