And while my way of discovering my mixed-race identity might seem unique (or not), my hope is that it resonates with anyone on a journey to find their own identity and healing “truth” in this complicated world.

It's completely understandable since you didn't know. If you did as a child, I am sure it would have brought a greater sense of self-acceptance when going through the bullying from your peers.
