It's heartbreaking that some people will never break free. My mom is one of them. Her whole life has revolved around drugs and alcohol and she is 70. I am not even sure how she has managed to stay alive.

There is nothing you can do. But, I am sure you would be there for her if she had a significant amount of clean time but I can only hope for that.
