Love this story! It has taken me awhile to get somewhat comfortable in social situations. Like you said, we can be conversationalists by listening intently and asking questions. I think it goes over quite well that way for me. Plus, I'd rather be a little awkward than be the guy showing up with no shirt on... because that would be something I would do (well maybe not with my shirt off).
