My mother said something a little different but still had the same feeling. "It's been 30 years since (an incident), why don't you just get over it?" I don't know about you but I wasn't harping or complaining about anything with her. I just simply didn't want to speak to her and she assumed.

I feel so bad that your mom has no empathy. Of course you are going to have the feelings you do after all that you have gone through. We don't just get over it. Even though we process through therapy, it doesn't erase from our brain. Seriously, I wish it did!

I just want you to know that I think you are so awesome and such a fantastic writer. Your stories always hook me and it's a bummer that you have to go to jobs that don't fill a certain part of you, like I know writing does. We work to live and then what do we have if we aren't happy. It's a screwed system!
