Oh, the places we have gone
Taking a trip during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter break is something we have done as a family for many years. We don’t always skip the holiday but we do try to plan trips during the break.
Escaping the work of the holidays is something I really enjoy.
My two daughters are very busy with school and dance, making these breaks sometimes the only time we can travel.
And, I don’t know about you, but I always love a fun trip as something to look forward to.
Here are some of my most memorable holiday travels. Maybe you’ll want to visit one of these places during the next holiday.
Zion National Park
We spent our Thanksgiving one year in Zion. I knew it would be a magical place even before arriving. Although, the pictures can’t capture how you feel when you are taking it all in.
After driving all the way from California, we settled into a hotel right in the middle of town for the first night before meeting up with our family. The Desert Pearl Inn was a quaint place to stay right on the Virgin river. We had breathtaking views from our patio and even saw some wild animals at night.
