Oh a heartbreaking experience of life!! I think you have said what many of us have had to in our minds in regards to certain friendships. You do feel sadness and grief when friendships fizzle out, especially ones like this that hold such an important part of your life. I am sorry she didn't realize what an awesome friend she had because she was too wrapped up in herself.
