ROSE! You are such a talented writer. I am really enjoying your honesty through your impressive storytelling. Maybe your parents already did have an inkling and weren't leading on. Probably best that the cat got out of the bag and true healing could begin.

This makes me think of my relationship with my own daughter.

She has been struggling so much this past year. Self-harm, depression, anxiety, breakups that cause this all to escalate and now a possible eating disorder. It's rough on both ends... for the mother and the daughter. She has told me that she doesn't want to upset me and I told her that I don't want her to undermine her actual, real feelings.

It is not an easy road. I hid everything I went through to not upset anyone but that just made me a hot mess so I am hopeful she can get well.
