Sadly, my father is a white man that does not think the way you do and we have many arguments about it. When BLM was taking a big stand in 2020, my dad would often comment that we need a white lives (or all lives) matter protest and it made my blood boil so much that I didn't talk to him for awhile.

How does he completely miss the point of all of this? I have no clue but it's very disturbing to me.

How do you NOT know about these things that are listed? I've listened to many people of color on the news or podcasts talk about how they have to condition their kids to these horrible antics, like them being profiled and followed, or pulled over for no reason.

Like you said, even though you grew up with many hardships (and I am so sorry about the abuse) you know that is just easier for a white male in our society, plain and simple.

I have so much empathy for those who have struggled with this and I will never know exactly how it feels but I know it feels shitty!!
