She simply cannot take any accountability for her actions. She will always be the victim and can't see things otherwise. It is a sad reality and one that she will have to accept, as she has dug her own grave and isn't willing to try and get out of it, to save her relationship with her daughter. I think she must believe that just because she birthed you, she can act any way she wants and you will be there.

Good for you for sending that book. That was brave to do and with no response, really... that is frustrating. You did extend the branch but she didn't grab on. You know what I would do, as I have done it already, but keep distancing the relationship because she won't see things any other way but her way. :(
