Soooo true!! I've never found happiness by chasing it and have always tried to numb the unhappy.

I can tell you that you won’t find happiness by trying to avoid feeling bad, shutting down, turning away, or numbing out. What happens when we habitually turn away from life’s discomfort is that we begin to say no to all of life.
For the Love of God, Stop Chasing Happiness and Do This Instead
