Story nerd! What I am gathering from this is that you are showing how reading this book relates to you writing your memoir?

Off topic - I don't like when writers jump around. It just makes the story confusing when it doesn't need to be. I like memoirs that tell a story, start to finish. I will read others but I don't like them as much so I get what you are saying.

Back to nerding - I like how you related the two and how you could use her experiences and examples to adjust your writing.
