Story nerd! This broke my heart the first time I read it and did once again. It's so unfair how things like this end up. You become so close to people and that is all erased with a divorce. Hopefully, with time, it gets better. I could feel your emotions of hurt and frustration through your writing. I would maybe add in a specific instance that shows how close you were with those certain family members.
