Suicide Must Have Felt Like The Only Option
A man jumps from a parking structure
I was at lunch today with some friends. One of my friends is a former principal and the other is a teacher. They told me about this horrific thing that happened to one of their fellow educators.
He jumped from a parking structure at Disneyland after a public Facebook post for anyone to read.
I didn’t want to write this at first but after hearing more negative comments, I decided that it should be shared.
Christopher Christensen, 51, of Westminster, was a principal at an elementary school in Fountain Valley, CA. He wrote and left a long Facebook post to inform everyone he knew about why he committed suicide.
After a dispute with his wife and being charged with a misdemeanor, he was put on leave from his job as a principal at Newland Elementary School in Fountain Valley.
His shocking Facebook post goes into all of the details that inquiring friends and family might have after they learn of his suicide.
He explains that he hates when there are unanswered questions after a person commits suicide. Families are distraught over why it happened and so he wanted to eliminate all of that. He was committed to what he was about to do.
