Thank you for writing this, Ash. I actually didn't think of a few points you made in that way but it completely makes sense!! Actually I hit so many "rock bottoms", so I thought, and I always wondered why none of those moments made me want to quit! The last time I drank wasn't nearly as bad as many other times - It's weird that I actually felt like living in that last desperate moment.
