This is a huge realization!!

… lead me to do the right thing as if no one was looking, and I gave her the generosity of my heart. I began to view my Mom as another woman, who had suffered trauma just like me. No longer did I see her as the one that was supposed to guide, protect, love, and cherish me, but a woman who had struggled with her own limiting beliefs and traumatic triggers. She did the absolute best she could with the situation she was placed in. We spoke a lot about the guilt she didn’t need to carry anymore and it was time to create new memories.

This is a huge realization!! I'm not sure if I will ever feel this way about my mom but then I hope my daughters feel this. Sigh!
