This one really hit home. Hey, you are listening to your body now through signals, I think. I started slowing down with rigid exercise once I got sober and found writing. I still exercise most days but not twice a day or to excess anymore. I even skip workouts when I hardly ever would, even on my most hungover days I would punish myself.
Funny enough I was away with my daughter this past weekend and in the hotel gym, I saw quite the sight. It must have been two influencers - they had their tripods set up in the gym and were sprinting on the treadmill, pausing the video and then panting away... until they sprinted again. I am thinking they must have been splicing those videos together like they were some ultra runner when in reality they were dry heaving after a sprint!
It was ridiculous to watch. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and called it a day after watching that.
