Well shoot, your therapist is right on this one! At least, she would have been right if she told me this same thing when mine were 12. After many instances later in their teens, I can vouch for that. Now, I just wish my older daughter wanted to wear ANY girl clothing. And yeah mama, you earned that latte!!! Can you imagine your own mom reacting the same as you did? No way!
