What a great message he has to share with kids, heck... anyone could benefit from hearing his story. The opening drew me in. My girls both read a few of his books in elementary so I was familiar but didn't know about his struggles. I would just switch the last two sentances up a bit, because I love "We walked back to the car with my superhero cape with the words, flapping in the wind" and think that would be a good ending. :)
