When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I did a lot of research on the Mirena IUD that I'd had in for years. They made me remove it right away with the diagnosis. It's not good to be pumping hormones into your body and especially when they can feed cancer! I didn't have a period for years with that IUD. That can't be good, right? I was not as "woke" as you are though in my late 20s and just though, great no period! Then, after cancer I was on the copper and bled so heavily that after a few years of that, I was done. I just couldn't do it anymore and haven't been on any BC for the past 4 years. You are right. You can only get pregnant those times during the month. I steer clear of those days. My husband won't get snipped so we basically just play with fire. I hope that I am too old to get pregnant but anything is better than the birth control options!
