Wise words from mom! We have some similarities here except our pool filter hasn't quite exploded yet. But, my husband is a software engineer and he thinks he can fix it all, too! Sigh! I will never have another pool either. No one even uses it anymore either and it's just a waste of money. Fixing and paying for all the things you described sucks... not how I want to spend my money either!
