Wow, I don't think I would have had the nerve to ask that question. I am glad that you ultimately didn't have to make the decision. I don't think I would do it for my mother that I no longer speak to. Actually I know I wouldn't because I am sure her kidneys are hanging on by a thread after the life she's led.
