Wow, I really related to this. Although my mother is still alive but I have not spoken to her in almost 2 years. I often think of how I will feel when she passes and I think it will be the same as you. I am sure that you did all you could on your end to have a relationship with your father. At least that is how I feel and nothing was ever going to change. Sorry for this!
