Wow, Lauren!!! I feel like I could have written most of this. We are so similar. Congrats on your 3 amazing years of freedom!! This whole story was so powerful. My husband and I fought and threw the D word around all the time. Funny how it hasn't come up once since I've been sober, huh?! It's so easy to stay stuck in addiction because we compare ourselves to everyone worse. When, in reality, it's all the same. Thank you for writing this and being so honest!
