Yes, exactly. We all have our opinions and beliefs - knowing that others have different beliefs and still being able to communicate about it without being hostile really is a gift.

I went through this with friends when we were in the 2020 elections here in the US. Before this, we never talked about our political affiliations and I was honestly shocked that they supported Trump. It drove a little bit of a wedge but we decided to just not talk about it and our friendship was worth more than who we supported. Although I still can't believe they would vote for him again, I just let it go. I know it's not the same at all with what is going on over in Gaza - and I would have a hard time understanding the opposing!
