Yikes! That is pretty scary what you went through and saw at the hospital!! And yes, you are a strong and loving person to stand beside your husband and help him through. I am glad he is doing well. I had some sort of spiritual experience the day I finally quit drinking and I will forever be thankful for it. I think we can have our own intimate experience with God or our higher power and it doesn't have to involve a church or a religious organization. :)
