Your Life Must be so Dull and Dreary

Sobriety? Plant-Based? And, Yoga? Insert eye roll here

Oh, so you want to get sober? Do you want to go plant-based? Do you want to get fit?

Ok.

Quit drinking. Stop eating meat (and cheese, ice cream, sour cream… all the good stuff). Go to hot yoga.

But, my life will be so boring!

What is boring about feeling healthy?

Is it hard? You betcha!! Is it worth it? I’ve never felt better.

In a nutshell, here is how I got to a place, at 43 years old, where I am in the best shape of my life. You heard me, I feel better than I did in my 20s!

40 really is the new 30, if you take care of yourself.

Quit Drinking

Let’s start with the hardest and most recent vice. I quit drinking for good on January 7, 2021. If you struggle with losing weight, quitting alcohol will give you the fastest results. Have you had too much to drink? Drinking is a ton of calories unless you just drink vodka and soda water.

What about the late-night snacking after drinking? Or, the hangover food the next day? Plus, if you drink often, that's a hell of a lot of calories!
