Your perspective always blows me away. This just made me feel less alone in what I choose. I totally believe in a chosen family and I am not one that needs traditions. I could do something new every year for the holidays and be perfectly content with that, as long as I am with people who make me feel good! My childhood experiences always come up in my mind when the holidays roll around so I often get in a funk because I don't want to participate in the traditions but feel forced.
